A professional headshot and event photographer based in both Bend and Portland, Oregon. With over 15 years of experience and degrees in Photography and Psychology from the University of Oregon, Daniel specializes in capturing people at their best—whether in a polished headshot or the energy of a live event.
My Story
I’ve always felt more at home behind the camera than in front of it. I understand the nerves, the self-consciousness, and that pressure of trying to look perfect — which is why I’m passionate about helping people feel at ease during their headshot session.
But for me, it’s not just about capturing someone’s likeness; it’s about creating something more. I believe headshots don’t have to be boring or stiff — they can be works of art that truly reflect who someone is. I love being around people, hearing their stories, and weaving those stories into their portraits. It brings in both my love for the artistic process and my connection with people.
That same passion carries over into the event work I do. There’s something special about the journalistic side of photography — being in the action, anticipating moments before they happen, and capturing them in a way that tells a larger story. Whether I’m photographing an event or a portrait, it all comes down to connection, storytelling, and creating something that feels alive and authentic.
When I’m not behind the camera, I’m usually adventuring with my wife, Lindsay, and our two kids, Penelope and Milo. I also love slinging pizzas, mountain biking, and catching waves on Bend’s river surf.
